New Single: Arkady
SNAGGLE feat. ALI BROS has a new single out!! "Arkady" is the third and final single from our upcoming record "FOUNDATION" before the full album drops next month. This one is inspired by one Arcadia “Arkady” Darell, a brilliant and self assured 14-year-old from science-fiction grandmaster Isaac Asimov’s FOUNDATION Universe. After secretly learning of the danger posed by the mysterious Second Foundation, Arkady takes matters into her own hands, launching herself into an adventure far more dangerous than she could have imagined - she reminds me more than a little of my daughter... This tune is a fast-paced burner influenced by the Brecker Brothers -- here crystallized in the lock-step horn synergy of the ALI BROTHERS: Brownman Ali & Marcus Ali -- and brimming with equal measures of youthful audacity and restless curiosity.
Brownman and I have LOTS of fun together trading solos on this one. If you've seen us trading live you'll know it frequently involves effusive grinning and all kinds of crazy stuff (we 'might' kinda, sorta really really dig playing with each other:p) and we certainly don't hold back here! The whole ensemble is killing - this is probably the hardest tune in the book (with some RIDICULOUS horn lines to boot) and everyone is locked in and taking care of business. Brownman Ali, Marcus Ali, Jay Yoo, Matt Gruebner, and Adam Mansfield - I LOVE YOU DUDES! And a HUGE thank you to our special guest on this track - Luisito Orbegoso - who's brilliant percussion work elevates us all!

ALI BROS delivers an all-original electric-jazz experience that moves from haunting introspection to explosive intensity. Drawing upon the exploratory traditions of Weather Report, the Brecker Brothers, and Snarky Puppy, the ensemble now undertakes its most ambitious project yet: FOUNDATION, a new album of electrifying works inspired by Isaac Asimov’s legendary saga, bringing one of science fiction’s greatest & most enduring literary universes vividly to life through sound. FOUNDATION is due for release in October, 2026 on Browntasauras Records.
At the front line are the ALI BROS: trumpet virtuoso Brownman Ali (Guru’s Jazzmatazz, Jay-Z, Randy Brecker) and his brother, saxophone heavyweight Marcus Ali (Matt Dusk, Jason Wilson, Mr. Something Something). Behind them, an elite rhythm section of Toronto electric-jazz heavyweights drives the sound forward: Jay Yoo on guitar, Matt Gruebner on bass, and Adam Mansfield on drums. Strategically, Maclean has deliberately folded every member of BROWNMAN ELECTRYC TRIO into SNAGGLE, forming the ensemble’s core nucleus.
