Her vocal loop track, “RUN,” was selected as a finalist in Canada’s CBC Searchlight Contest.

They combine virtuosic performance skills set against an energized urban sonic backdrop, their chart-topping albums “Juggernaut” & the GRAMMY long-listed “Gravitation” have been heralded as "the new standard in jazz" by NPR in NYC.

GENEVIEVE MARENTETTE's FLUX-STATE
Vocal-driven Electric-jazz
FLUX-STATE is music before it hardens into form. Led by the extraordinary internationally acclaimed improvising vocalist Genevieve “Gigi” Marentette -- backed by the GRAMMY long-listed Brownman Electryc Trio plus the JUNO nominated Nick Maclean -- this group turns chords, grooves, lyrics, and original compositions into spontaneous songcraft. Gigi utilizes pre-written words, while inventing melodie in real time over music that is alive, unstable, courageous, and never the same twice. This is modern jazz in its most creative flux-state. Not to be missed!
:: Genevieve Marentette - vocals
:: Brownman Ali - trumpet
:: Nick Maclean - keys & synths
:: Sean Dennis - 6-string electric bass
:: Adam Mansfield - drums
